Javier is a professional Spanish-language teacher, Interpreter (English to Spanish) and translator with over 18 years experience teaching for Barlovento School of Spanish, TDSB’s, theTCDSB, TCFSB , Banks, and many other corporations in Toronto, Canada.
Javier studied Administration, Human Resouces, Adult Education, Music and Languages (Spanish, English, French, Italian and Portuguese) at universities in Toronto, Canada and Colombia, South America.
Javier and his team have developed a learning method for Spanish-language students and teachers. A textbook is in development to compliment this method using true-to-life dialogues, useful vocabulary, and visual grammar - making learning faster, easier and more enjoyable than before.
Barlovento School of Spanish has a professional team of Spanish-speaking professors, who received Spanish-language training at the university level in Latin America and Spain.

Marta is one of our English to Spanish interpreters, a gifted musician and music teacher ( Piano and Guitar) for children and adults.
Experienced professor from Mexico, with more than 10 years experience in the field of Education. Maricel holds a bachelor degree in Education from University of Monterrey, Mexico. She is fluent in Spanish, English and Finnish.
Joana Hernando Senés
Experienced professor from Spain, with more than 5 years of experience as a Spanish Teacher for adults. Her university studies included a Degree in Communications and an University Teaching Diploma.
Experienced professor from Colombia, with more than 2 years of experience as a Spanish Teacher for adults. Her university studies included a Degree in Psychology and a University Teaching Diploma.
Lesley received her B.A. in Spanish from the University of Guelph and her B.Ed. from the University of Toronto, OISE. She has taught Spanish to children, teens, adults and seniors. She has lived in Mexico for a year and also spent time studying in Chile. She has always loved languages and enjoys teaching them to her students. She speaks English, Spanish and French and hopes to continue learning more and inspiring others to do the same.
Cara is a gifted teacher, she has developed a wonderful method to teach languages to young children.
