Javier Baez

Javier is a professional and dedicated Spanish-language teacher with over 15 years experience teaching for the Toronto Board of Education, the Toronto Catholic District School Board and The Learning Annex.

He studied Administration, Education, and Languages at universities in Canada and South America.

Javier and his team are currently developing an online learning method for Spanish-language students and teachers.

This exciting series, called “Expanding Horizons”, will be full of the colours and culture of the Hispanic world. It will use audio and video aids, as well as a set of interactive tools, to help students learn faster and easier than ever before.

An experienced professional, Cara has five years of Spanish-language education. She trained in Environmental Studies and Languages at University of Toronto, Canada.

Teachers:

Barlovento School of Spanish has a professional team of Spanish-speaking professors. Most are native speakers who received Spanish-language training at the university level in Spain or Latin America. We regularly hold training sessions to improve our teaching methods and incorporate the feedback we receive from students into our classes.

Ivana is an accomplish University professor from Argentina with over 5 years experience in the field of Education. She holds a Bachelor degree in Language Arts from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. In addition to working at Barlovento School of Spanish, Ivana is also a Spanish instructor for the TDSB’s International Language Program and a Spanish interpreter for the TCDSB.

Experienced professor from Colombia, with more than 5 years of experience as a Spanish Teacher for children and adults. Her university studies included a Degree in Communications and an University Teaching Diploma at Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga, Colombia.
