Continue to learn the Spanish language using a cultural approach.

In this course you will develop your speaking skills and master the correct use of pronouns, prepositions and Spanish verbs in present, past and future tenses.

Every class of 90 minutes will have activities such as: Spanish songs, videos, readings, open conversations in Spanish as well as writing exercises. All courses last five weeks. Classes are held once or twice a week.

Course Outline

    Intermediate I

    By the end of Intermediate I, you will have learned:

  1. To use the present perfect in Spanish.
  2. To use the preterite tense or simple past in Spanish
  3. To use para & por and other prepositions.
  4. To use the imperfect tense in Spanish.
  5. To give instructions in Spanish
  6. To use direct and indirect object pronouns.
  7.  

    Intermediate II

    This course is called "Telling Stories" where students will learn by presenting everday stories and through discussion. This is reinforced through written exercises from the textbook "Practice makes Perfect."

    By the end of Intermediate II, you will have learned to:

  1. Master the use of the three past tenses of the Spanish language: preterite, imperfect, and present perfect.
  2. Review use of para & por and other prepositions.

     

    Intermediate III

    By the end of Intermediate III, you will have learned:

  1. Talk about people in Spanish.
  2. Reviewing the preterite tenses.
  3. Reviewing the use of Ser and Estar in the past tense.
  4. Learn how to express obligation and give instructions in Spanish.
  5. Introduction to the subjunctive.
  6. Learn to express probability and condition (conditional tense).
  7. Reinforce the direct and indirect object pronouns in Spanish.
